Alltech becomes majority owner of Alltech Fennoaqua
Alltech has increased its stake and acquired Finnforel’s share of Alltech Fennoaqua, increasing its shareholding and becoming the company’s majority stakeholder. Alltech now owns 95.1% of the company, while Heino Group’s stake remains at 4.9%.
This milestone reinforces Alltech’s commitment to the Finnish aquaculture sector and its efforts to advance sustainable fish farming across Northern Europe. It also unlocks new opportunities for Alltech Fennoaqua for innovation and growth in the aquaculture sector — both in Finland and worldwide.
“This is an exciting milestone for Alltech Fennoaqua,” said Tomi Kantola, CEO of Alltech Fennoaqua. “With Alltech’s expanded ownership and continued investment, we are better positioned than ever to serve aquaculture producers with innovative, sustainable feed solutions — all while supporting domestic food security and export growth.”
As part of the Alltech family of companies, Alltech Fennoaqua benefits from the research and global expertise of Alltech Coppens, Alltech’s aquaculture nutrition division. The cooperation includes access to advanced research and development facilities, as well as support.
The change in ownership will not affect Alltech Fennoaqua’s operations or personnel.
